Spark Your Business
End your meeting on a positive note! The Spark Your Business marketing suggestions ensure the last thing agents remember from your meeting is that you gave them a simple tool to improve their business immediately.

Name Your Poison Day, June 8, 2023 (In-Person Connection)
In the mid-19th century, liquor was jocularly referred to as “poison.” At a bar, patrons were often asked to “name your poison.” This day, however, can be celebrated with a wide variety of “poisons” – ice cream, coffee, adult beverages, etc. Invite a past client or SOI to join you at a local shop serving their preferred “poison.” Before you part ways, let them know you appreciate them referring new business to you. Make sure to give them 2-3 business cards to pass along.
National Ballpoint Pen Day, June 10, 2023 (Pop By)
You and your referrals are INK-credible! Create gift bags with ballpoint pens (branded if you have them). Attach a tag and your business card.
Example tag available from Esty seller Front Porch Portraits. Use code SPARK20 for a 20% discount.
Father’s Day, June 18, 2023 (Pop By)
Have a DARN fantastic Father’s Day! Give the dads in your SOI a fun or unique pair of socks. Attach a tag and your business card.
Example tag available from Esty seller REdigitalassist.

Birthdays and Anniversaries (Snail Mail)
- For your Power Sphere (those past clients and SOI members who will definitely refer business to you), track special dates, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
- Keep a supply of cards on hand.
- During slow time periods, consider assembling the cards/envelopes, pre-addressing, and stamping, so that all you need to do is drop by the post office 1 week before the special date to mail the card.
- If the card lends itself to including a gift, add something small and fun. Example: If your card says, “It’s Your Birthday…Go NUTS!”, gift a bag of mixed nuts.

National Smoothie Day, June 21, 2023 (In-Person Connection)
Call a past client or SOI member and suggest getting together at the local smoothie shop for National Smoothie Day. This can be a 15-30 minute get-together to catch up. At the end, make sure to let them know that you appreciate referrals. Provide them with a few business cards to hand out.
A Look Ahead
July: Time Management
In July, we focus on developing systems and habits for efficient time management. When agents better manage their time, they take control of their day, increase performance, and achieve goals faster.
